Any thoughts on this one? I think the price on Meehan is too good to pass up.

I dont know anything about Meehan, never even heard of him before this fight. The only time I've seen Brewster was against Klitschko and he was a machine that night. I mean he fought the fight of his life and was mentally in a total zone. I think all of that had to do with his dad recently passing away before that fight and Brewster promising him that he would become heavyweight champ - which meant getting the WBO belt from Wlad. He fought like an animal that night.

However, he fufilled that promise so I really wouldnt expect him to be able to fight with all of that emotion that he had that night for this fight. I wish I knew something about this other guy.

Meehan's an Australian with a record of 29-1 (23KOs). The one loss on his record is to of all people, Danny Williams.

He fought mainly in Australia, was Brewster's sparring partner a few years ago and then quit boxing to play like Rugby or Australian Rules football. He decided to come back and fight again.

One thing I noticed from his record is that he's KOed some really big guys in Australia, though they were probably average club fighters. His last fight was a 6th round KO of Damon Reed on April 10 in Vegas. In Australia, he usually weighed in the 230s for fights, but came in at 227 for Reed. He's also 6'5".

I think I am going to take a shot on the dog.
